Painted in the technique of Pleinair, this piece was created completely on location over the course of one or many days.
Painted at Whiley Slough in Skagit Valley Washington, this piece shows the flood plains that were created in order to provide habitat for many bird species. Once the area was flooded, the trees died and turned a silvery white which reflects the sunset at the end of easch day. The Foothills of the Skagit Valley and Mount Baker in the far left also reflecting the sunset.
