Painted in the technique of Pleinair, this piece was created completely on location over the course of one or many days.

Painted in the woods of Little Mountain, theres nothing especially little about the area until you see the ever larger set of hills and mountains behind it. An easy area to get to, you can even drive to the very top of the mountain that has an amazing view of the Skagit Valley. I recall for this painting I drove to the top, then started walking down the trail till I found this area. Not allong the main trail, I sometimes seek areas with less people allowing me to get fully involved in my work.
