Lake 16 Again

Lake 16 Again
Painted on canvas
Gamblin Oil Paints with a Galkyd medium.
20 x 10 inch
Painting is not framed
Painted in the technique of Pleinair, this piece was created completely on location over the course of one or many days.
Painted near Lake 16, this piece is deep in the woods nearby a logging opperation, in fact the reason your seeing so much of the sky in the piece is because I framed the composition up against where the trees started and are cut. This piece has grown on me a little over the years, its been possibly around 5 or 6 and I can see that either due to time, patience, engery or creativity that at the time I painted a bit differently then I normally do. Im very happy ive held on to almost everything ive created, being able to look back is profound and revealing.
