Painted in the technique of Pleinair, this piece was created completely on location over the course of one or many days.

Painted at Craft Island, this painting focuses on the local flowers and plantlife. Durring the seasonal change, this area in the Skagit Valley on Fir Island, supports a wide variety of plantlife. By focusing on these smaller details, it helps me recognize the larger patterns of the entire landscape.

On the backside is a failed painting from Deception Pass. I tend to re use old painting surfaces if I am not somewhat saticfied with the end results.
