Craft Island 8

Craft Island 8
Painted on mdf
Gamblin Oil Paints with a Galkyd medium.
12.5 x 7 inch
Painting not framed
Painted in the technique of Pleinair, this piece was created completely on location over the course of one or many days.
Painted at Craft Island, this painting shows off a lesser focused on part of the park that ive visted so frequently. The Skagit river to the right joins the ocean, but becuase of the continual high tides and being apart of the river, many larger trees find there way allong the rivers edge. Further filled with larger plants, this area was always trecherous to reach, with rock, stumps and dead logs littering the ground and high grass obscurring your footing the entire time.
On the back is a failed ish painting I did of mount baker and skagit valley foothills, I think it was a longer painting and I cut it in half
